The Poppy flower is the national flower for Palestine where it has many meanings for connection to land, bloodshed, martyrs, and resistance. In Asian countries, the Poppy flower is associated with success, and romantic love. In Persian literature, they are considered the flower of love where they often are representative for people who died for love in poems.
